This guide reviews the process of signing into NextGen for the first time. Please review each step very carefully, making sure to enter the domain and username as instructed in each given step. Reach out to IT Support if you run into any issues and need assistance getting logged in for the first time.
- When your account is made, you will receive an email from NextGen with a link to set your password. Find the email, click the link, and set your NextGen password.
- Make sure you register for NextGen MFA before proceeding using this knowledge guide: https://empowermehelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/45194701641371-NextGen-MFA-Registration
- Sign into empowerme.onelogin.com.
- Select the NextGen tile:
- Enter your username as Domain\UserName: cent2\[username]
- Sign in with your updated password.
- Click NextGen 6 and it will download:
- Open the downloaded file. Check all of the boxes below including "Remember my choices for remote connections from this publisher" and click connect:
- Sign in using UserName@Domain: [username]@cent2.internal and your updated password:
- On the RemoteApp window that opens, select "Show Details"

If you see the MFA Disclaimer, select "OK"

Open OneLogin protect (or your MFA app) on your phone and enter the 6 digit code from the account titled nextgenmcs.okta.com into the Enter Code box on your computer before selecting "Verify"
- The NextGen Option Screen will open, select the application needed;
- It will open the NextGen Login Screen with your credentials pre-filled. Select Logon:
- The application should launch.

Password Setting and Default Setting Values Policy:
- Minimum password length 12 characters
- Passwords should not contain the user’s account name or parts of the user’s full name that exceed two consecutive characters
- No more than 2 identical characters in a row
- Passwords must contain characters from three of the following categories:
- English uppercase characters (A through Z)
- English lowercase characters (A through Z)
- Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
- Non-alphabetic characters (For example, !, $, #, %)
