How does it look on the recipient's end?
When you send an email containing PII/PHI, the email will be automatically encrypted by our security provider. Here is how it works:
- The recipient receives your email.
- To decrypt and read it, the recipient clicks on "Read the message" right below the email body:
- A new tab in the browser will open. Select "Send Authentication Code"
- Another email will be delivered from email_encryption@checkpoint-secure-email.com with the verification code.
- Enter the code and hit "Go to the Email":
- The recipient will then be able to read the email:
- To continue the conversation, you can just reply to the thread as usual, it will be still encrypted; reply can only be in text format.
